Scrapbook Saturday

I am so excited about today's scrapbook page! It's very different from what I normally do because its all BOY!
Today I've been invited to a crop put together by a sweet friend I've known since high school.  She and her sister and putting together a scrapbook gathering at  their church and thought it would be fun for me to come and bring some of my SU stuff! So, I decided I needed to make a page for her as a thank you!
I used Extreme Elements and  I Dig You stamp sets to make this muddy layout. I used Soft Suede, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake.
I colored these stamps with my Stampin' Write markers and then cut them by hand.
I created a journaling spot at the top using the large Framelit Die. The cute little traffic cones were made using the pennant punch and the word window punch. Twine was stapled to the cardstock to give it a little texture
Letters were cut with the Go Go Boots Alphabet and the Big Shot.
I love this notebook edge punch! I miss it, don;t you??? More twine. See, a bow can fit well on a boy page!
I also prepared a smaller page for everyone at the crop to make. It's a 6X6 version and I will be back this evening to show you!

Thanks for stopping by!

Simply Enchanted Treat

One of my club projects this month was an oldie but goodie. The sour cream container was one of the first things I learned how to make many, many years ago. I wanted something that would really showcase the SAB paper Everyday Enchantment and I think this did the trick!
The tag features Sprinkled Expressions, also a SAB set. The large shape is the 2 1/2" Scallop Circle and the sentiment is the small oval. Colors are Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade.

These are fast and easy! Several of my customers ended up making a bunch of them after they got home! Yay!

Here Comes Peter Cotton Tail

So, today is the second day of my Spring, right? Yep, that's right! Forget Puxatawny Phil (or however you spell it!) I've already declared spring's arrival! I am wearing sandals today! Uh-huh, that's right! I may be a little cold, but I don't care! I'm tired of trouser socks and boots!

So, if it's spring, then it must be time for Easter! I was preparing for some upcoming workshops this weekend and decided I wanted to do a simple punch art card demo for one of my groups. I wanted to keep it simple.. so here he is!

He uses 4 punches; the Large Oval, the 1" circle, the Bitty Scallop and the 5 Petal Flower. Easy? I think so! The "grass" was made with the Big Shot die Tasteful Trims. The colors are Garden Green , Wild Wasabi, and Pear Pizazz DSP.

What a cute bum! Kind of resembles my figure I believe...

Don't forget that I have some upcoming events! Register today!

Stamper's Round Up Announcement and Spring has arrived!

Well, Its the day after V-Day. You know what that means? SPRING has arrived! What?????..... No???

Well, that's what I am telling myself! I loath winter! And, here in South Texas, we have about 4 or 5 days of winter... And I still hate January and February-Boo! Yuck! Hiss!!!!

So, I'm declaring today the first day of Spring! And to kick it off, here is a springy card!

These little kites are so fun! And, before you ask, no, there is no punch! C'mon. You know you were thinking it! We get spoiled with our punches don't we? Uh-huh! But, these puppies are a cinch to hand cut. Just straight lines! I prefer to use my little SU paper snips. Perfect for hand cutting little things.

I stamped the little tails in Soft Suede on the squares. Then, I stamped the kites in Poppy Parade and cut them out. I mounted them on the squares with Stampin' Dimensional.

 I added a piece of Poppy Parade Poly Ribbon, and then ripped apart another piece to use the fibers as a bow. I sure will miss Poppy Parade when it goes... {June 1}
Stamps: Send Me Soaring, Fabulous Phrases, PS I Love You (miss you)
Ink and Paper: Pool Party DSP Stack, Poppy Parade, Soft Suede, Whisper White
Other: 1 1/4" Square Punch, Poppy Parade Poly Twill Ribbon, Small Tag Punch, Tiny Tag Punch, Basic Rhinestones, Stampin Dimensional.

I've decided to start a "Frequent Buyer" program for all of my great customers. I'm calling it the Stamper's Round Up. Basically, for every $30 purchase, you get a punch. Get 10 punches and I give you a $30 gift certificate to spend with me! It's a win-win!
1. $30 pre tax and shipping
2. To get a punch your purchase has to be at least $30. You can't make 3 $10 purchases and get a punch. But, a $60 purchase will get you two punches.
3. Local and Internet orders count. If you are a club member, your Stamper's Round Up card will be in your bag this month, it begins in March! If you are long distance, I will mail yours to you after your next purchase.
4. You are in charge of your card and giving it to me to punch when you place the order. If you are long distance, I will keep track on paper here, and you can punch your card there!

So, shopping with me now earns you even more rewards! I hope you are as excited about this as I am!

Love is in the Air! (HSS 105)

Happy Valentine's Day! I actually feel like V-Day has already passed... We had our big celebration last week at school, so it feels like its already passed! But, it hasn't and today when my little ones wake up they will find three love surprises waiting for them!

So, what about you? Did you make something special for today? Well, if you did, then you are ahead of the game when it comes to our Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge!

Give us your interpretation through your crafty creation of LOVE IS IN THE AIR~

My card is pretty simple... Melon Mambo CS that has been punched using the Big Shot and one of the Heart Framelit Dies. I layered it over some Pretty in Pink DSP and then again over the Melon Mambo base. The "stitching" was done with a Stampin' Write marker.

The sweet little cherub and the love sentiment are from the P.S. I love You set.

So, show us what you made or give the theme a try with out going the Valentine route. Every day should be Valentine's Day when it comes to those we love right? ;-)

Have an A-MAZE-ing Day!

I saw a card at Leadership, one that was entered into the stamping contest, and I loved it! I took a picture of it, but I have no idea who made it. I CASED it today using the new Mazes in the Mini Catalog.

The stamp set is called Your A-Maze-ing! It's so cute and so different! I also used the Everyday Enchantment DSP, which I'm madly in love with!

The hole was punched in the front of the card using the 2 1/2" Circle Punch. It's a perfect fit!

The inside sentiment is from a retired set called Family Phrases.

I stamped a little cake on the inside of the maze. Its from Gnome Sweet Gnome.

Scrapbook Saturday!

I thought Saturday would not get her this week! I had another crazy week. I so need Spring Break NOW!!!

I am sharing with you the layout we did for Stamp CLub this month. It is a simpler version of my Oh, Gnome page.

I love how it shows of the Everyday Enchantment Paper so well! this blocking technique can be used in so many ways with scraps of DSP!
We also played a lot with the Sale A Bration stamp sets, including this one Sprinkled Expressions. I think from what I am seeing, this is the most popular SAB set.

And, in case you haven't seen the orginal page, here it is:
