More Chalk Talk- FMU111

Happy Friday everybody! It's time for another Friday Mash Up!

The neutral I chose to go with is the new Baked Brown Sugar- yum!

I didn't get the pencil in, but the heart kind of looks  like it's made with pencil strokes, right? I inked just the heart with Strawberry Slush. This is a very simple card created with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch, the 1 3/8" circle Punch and the Decorative Label Punch. The DSP is from the beautiful new In Color DSP Stack. Love it!

Make sure you hop back over to The Friday Mash Up and check out what the other designers have for you. And, we'd love to see what you come up with, so link up with us when you've put the challenge to the test!

Chalk Talk

I had a little extra time to play last week before the big "display Stamper Supply" box arrived, and this is what I came up with! I'm in love with these two new in colors; Baked brown Sugar and Coastal Cabana.

I created the background by inking the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder with y Brayer. First, I inked the raised side and ran it though with Whisper White cardstcok. I cleaned it off and then ran it through after inking the other side. It created what I like to call a negative and a positive embossed image. So cool!!

This beautiful tag is from a brand new set call Chalk Talk. I earned it for FREE for recruiting back in the fall! I love this time of year because we start to earn all kinds of fun freebies that we've worked so hard for all year long!

Speaking of Freebies.... I earned the Stampin' Up Getaway to San Diego this year! Thank you to everyone who has helped me reach this goal!
But, the really exciting part is that I could POSSIBLY get the Big Enchilada... The GRAND VACATION! It's going to be very, very close! so, look for lot's of incentives from ME in the next few weeks! I'd love to take my family on a week long cruise, but I'm going to need your help! If you plan on ordering in the next six weeks, I'd love to help you out! I've got a kick off event coming up this weekend and you can use the Hostess Code ARB4MH63 to order. Stay tuned for more details this weekend!

Artisan Wednesday Wow- Mini Shadow Box

Welcome to Artisan Wow Wednesday Blog Hop!
You've probably just arrived here from Cindy Beach's blog
I'm so excited to see her creations each month!

This month I was intrigued with the Kraft boxes. I've never purchased these before and was thrilled to see them in my Artisan Box. I bounced a couple of ideas around, really trying to "think out of the box" if you will (Ha!) and ultimately ended up with this- a tiny little shadow box for my husband's desk! It will be part of his Father's Day present

I cut the box in half first. Well, more like I cut 1/3 of the box off so that the whole thing was divided into two pieces. I then used the Houndstooth Embossing Folder to create a black and white cover for the box. I used Whisper White Ink and a brayer to apply the ink to the raised side of the folder and embossed basic black cardstock.

I ended up covering most of the box... it kind of ran away from me! I love the Kraft color, but somehow ended up with very little of it showing!

I strung a piece of Whisper White twine from one side to the other to create a place to hang the tiny picture. I discovered that my local pharmacy (Walgreens) photo printing service offers a "wallet" size print. I LOVE it! It is actually a 4X6 with 4 of the images on it. i tend to take large pictures and can never crop them much. So, this option allows me to quickly and cheaply get a small, high quality print of a good picture.

I added a simple title to the front of the box, using the Amazing Family stamp set.

To create embellishments to go along with the photo, I used the herringbone image from the Beyond Plaid stamp set. I stamped it on Very Vanilla to create the pennant and then directly onto the Cotton Ribbon. I cut off the edges of the ribbon before i tied it to create the frayed edges. And, I finished it all off with a Cute Clip!

I hope you enjoyed my project this week! Make sure you hop along to see what my amazing team members have cooked up for you! Heather Summers is up net with all her amazingness! Now, get a hopin'!

Hello! I've got a little of this and a little of that for you today!

Have you given My Paper Pumpkin a try? It's so fun!! We're on our third month and I haven't received my box yet, but from what I hear it's great! I'm keeping my fingers crossed it's here tomorrow! It's like someone sends you a present every month! If you'd like to read more, please click HERE.
Here is what I did with last month's stamp:
And here is one of the cards  made the month before with supplies from the kit:

My Paper Pumpkin is FUN and it is a great way to get started if your feeling overwhelmed by all the other "stuff." Or, if you're like me, you just can't get enough SU stuff, and this is one more way to feed the addiction! :-)

There is only a couple of weeks left to order any of the retired stamps and accessories. Make sure you have gotten your favorites before they are GONE! Here are a few of my favorite cards I've made with some of the retiring items:

Perfectly Preserved (My favorite!!)
