Crazy for You

Hey everybody! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! I want to share a quick card I made for a friend who had surgery this week!

I created the pattern paper by using my Aquapainter and Calypso Coral ink on Watercolor paper. Once it was dry, I distressed the edges and stamped large Calypso Coral Polkadots with a sponge Dauber. I cut the "you" with the Hello You Thinlits. I added words from the Crazy For You set and finished it off with pieces of the White Jute Ribbon. I added it all onto a Night of Navy card base.

Thanks for stopping but today!!

Fancy Friday Flashback!

Hey everybody!! Welcome to the January issue of the Fancy Friday Blog Hop! And this month, we're calling it the Fancy FLASHBACK Blog Hop! So fun!! Our goal: Use a RETIRED (GASP!!!) stamp set with current product. Eeek!

 photo FancyFriday08_zps0c5ea380.jpg

I don't keep many retired stamps around, but the ones I do are some of my all time favorites. Sadly, they don't get much play. So, I was thrilled to pull this baby out and ink her up!

The stamp set called Sew Sweet is in my top five of all time favorites. I think it was in an 2011 mini catalog... Anyhow, the dress form is so fun to play with.
I paired it with the current Say Cheese stamp set (the frame) and the @sosocial stamp set as well as the Sweet Dreams DSP.

Isn't that dress form the cutest? I stamped it on a Project Life by SU Grid Card three times. Then, I stamped it on Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral Cardstock. I cut just the body out of the colored card sock an adhered it with a Dimensional son the Grid Card. Of course, you have to finish it off with some pearls and a Crushed Curry Twine Bow!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have enjoyed the FLASHBACK and will continue to travel along to my friend Jeanna!

Are you wondering why you're not hopping to Jane Lee?  She had knee surgery to repair a damaged ACL in her knee.  In her younger years, she was involved in the extreme sport of Luge.
CRAZY, HUH??!!
She had a back wreck and had to have her MCL and ACL repaired when she was 17.
6 years ago she re-injured her ACL.  She's on her way to recovery.
Go to her blog and send her some love?

Ok, on to Jeanna.

Leadership Swap- You Plus Me

Good morning everyone! I am currently on an airplane headed to Orlando, Florida for the 2015 Stampin' Up Leadership Conference! I am excited AND nervous! I was asked to be a presenter this year and I am worked so hard on creating an informative, funny and fun presentation. Now, if I can just actually carry through with out my nerves getting the best of me!!

I am also excited to see my many Stampin' Up friends from around the country, learn lots of new things, ride the Rockin' Roller Coaster at the Manager's Reception and Swap with my fellow Creating Success Business Builders! I only made swaps for this one swap this year, and I am excited to see all the wonderful things I get in return.

I decided to recreate this card for this swap.
You Plus Me, Stacked With Love DSP, Real Red Cardstock, White Vellum Cardstock, Big Shot, Starburst Framelits, Ornate Tag Topper Punch.
I decided to change it up a bit and use Daffodil Delight instead of Real Red. It makes is less "Valentine-ish." A great card for a best friend maybe?

Sweet Stampede January Meeting

Hey everybody! Sorry I have been so quiet this last week! I am busy getting ready for the Stampin' Up Leadership Conference in Orlando! I leave in the morning!! SO excited!

Last night, my team came over for our monthly get together. It was lots of fun! We had a smaller group than usual, but we still had lots of SWAPS!!

I gave away lots of prizes. This month it was Embossing Folders and a Sale-A-Bration stamp set.

Showing off our Creations is always fun! Noo ne loves to gab about Stampin' Up more than a group of Demonstrators!

We celebrated some awesome events that were healed in January as well as a promotion! They get a special glitter star for their name tag when they promote (plus a shopping spree from me!!)

We talk business, share ideas, and then we STAMP of course! This month, we focused on Sale-A-Bration and made five cards using different SAB sets.

I love my downline! They aren't just my team, they are my friends and I look forward to our meeting more tun anything else I do each month!!

If you are thinking about purchasing the Stampin' Up Starter Kit, we'd love for you to join us! All of these perks are offered to my downline near and far. The make and takes can be mailed to those who ask and the tutorials are always posted on our team blog and Facebook page. If you're ready to join us, please check out my Join page and read about all the perks and then follow the link to the purchase page. And, as always, email me if you have questions! It's ok to just ask questions too!! ;-)

Ok, I'm off to pack! Have a wonderful Tuesday!

From the Garden

I absolutely love the From the Garden bundle in the Occasions Catalog. I can't wait to make a scrapbook page with it in the spring! It's just perfect for all those fun gardening pictures I take of my kiddo!

For a recent sideline event, I used it to make my swap cards.
I also used the Something Lacy Background stamp to create the oval in the middle. Stay tuned for a video on this next week!

Something Lacy, From the Garden, Pink Pirouette Blendabilities, Linen Thread
