Today- Two points of view...

There are two ways you can look at today;
1. It's the LAST day to order from the Stampin' Up 10-11 Idea Book and Catalog. Wow. THE LAST DAY! If you want something that is retiring, you must order TODAY!

2. Tomorrow is the FIRST day to order from the new Stampin' Up 11-12 Idea Book and Catalog!! Whoo Hooo! It makes #1 not feel so bad, right??

Itsy Bisty Spider Paperbag Album

I was recently commissioned to make a paper bag album based on a children's book called The Itsy Bitsy Spider. I was thrilled when i looked through the book! It is adorable and completely illustrated with paper piecing! I knew I wanted mine to resemble it as closely as possible! the mom who requested this book told me it is her little girls' very favorite and they wanted to capture that memory and combine it with photos of her. I hope she likes it!

Look at this little red spider! Isn't he a riot! I used the Ornament punch for his body and the small oval for his feet.

I used a large variety of supplies for this book. I started it while visiting my parents in Memphis, so I pulled from what my mom had. Then, when i got home I finished up with a large variety of SU punches and cardstock.

Each page reflects the illustrations in the book.

The right page is a tent... It lifts up to show lots of space for photos.

This is my favorite page! Look at him in the underwear! Ha!

When you make something like this for someone as an order, you never know if it is what they pictured. I adore the book and hope she will too!

So guilty....

That's how I feel. Every time I see my blog or I walk by my office, I feel horribly guilty. I have finally bitten off more than I can chew! And, my paper crafting is what is suffering. I'm sorry to those of you who come by daily. I try to update almost everyday, and I thought that it would be easy once school was out. I was wrong! I'm still here and desperately trying to get back on track, so be patient with me! :-)

I did have a spare moment today to stamp! I used this sketch from Clean and Simple...

And these colors from Color Q...

I cracked open my new Big Shot Die called Perfect Pennants and used this scalloped circle on my card. I can't wait to actually use the pennants from the die!

1. Vacation- always way more work than you think!

2. Summer Camp- I teach two weeks of enrichment camp at my house each summer. That starts next week!

3. 3 Stamp Clubs

4. Catalog Kick off Party next week!

5. We sold our house! Yay! We have to pack now- boo!

6. Working on an order for a paper bag album- almost done!

7. I went to an estate sale and bought a ton of stuff! I am obsessed with it right now and it's taking a ton of time!

Grab Bag Show and Tell

As you can see, I am having a few issues with my blog. I want to have a column on each side, but when I do that, things become weird and aren't centered..Sigh... Anyway, if you have any suggestions on how to fix that, I would love to hear it!

Last month, I ordered several Grab Bags from Stampin Up's Clearance Rack. I spit up the materials and gave them to my Club girls with a homework assignment: Make Something! I told them that everyone who participated and brought them the next month would earn a prize! I was so excited to see the creations!

Scrapbook Saturday!

Good morning! It's Saturday, so it's time to share some Scrapbook Pages! I am sharing three this morning from my SB Retreat earlier this month. I'm not going to list products because I don't know what it all is! LOL! It was a free for all! I hope you can find some inspiration!

We're still in Memphis visiting my parents. My kids are completely rotten after three days! I can not even imagine how long it's going to take to break them from Bubba and Jamma's spoiling! But, they are loving every minute of it and making sweet memories!

All concern for rules and safety have gone out the window!

Notice the soda in her hand? She's at Jamma's so anything goes! LOL!

Black and White

Hello from Memphis! I am here visiting my parents. Or, maybe I should say, I have delivered their precious grandchildren to them while I sit and snooze for 7 days! :-)

Today's card is just Black and White which was last week's challenge at Just Add Ink.
The sketch I used is from The Sweetest Thing.

This stamp set is brand new and actually won't be available till July 1. That's one of the perks of being a demonstrator! You get your stuff early! Woot! Anyways, it's called Delicate Doilies. Love, This. Set!! I know, I say that a lot, but really, I do! The DSP is old, can't remember the name. It's last years Halloween DSP. I also used last years black lace and Black Satin Ribbon (YUM!)

Inside I out the sentiment meant for a wedding. I used Fabulous Phrases. I messed up at the bottom so I restamped it and punched it with the Word Window Punch. Don't judge me... ;-) A few Basic Rhinestones and a strip of Scallop Trim Punched Paper.

New and Old

Hey Ya'll! I'm back tonight with a new card that features something old and something new!

I used this fabulous sketch from Inkspirations...

And this sweet color combo from CR84FN31...

This little bird from the retiring stamp set called Always, is what made me fall in love with Stampin' Up. It was my very first stamp love. It's pretty and girly and fun to use. I am a little a surprised to see it not return.

The paper is super fun and all NEW. I love new! It will be in the new IBC that comes out July 1. It's called Cheerful Treat and will only be available to Hostess! So, who wants to Host my first workshop in July?? ;-) Colors are Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White. I also used the Word Window punch on the sentiment, which is also form the Always set.
