I made this card for another neighbor. My girls have been spending alot of time at her house and her kids have been spending alot of time at my house. It's nice to have Mommy friends when your kids are small who can give you some help! I just wanted to let her know how much I appreciate her!

Is it October yet?

Did I tell you how hot it got here this week? 107. Yep. That's right 107!!!  Update-110 degrees!! I am so ready for Fall and cooler weather! Even if cooler means low 90s!

I love this super cute new stamp set coming out in the Holiday Mini (Thursday!!!) This little witch looks like my girls!

This card is inspired by the colors at Inkspiration and

 the sketch at Stamping 411.

I brought out my old Pom Pom trim. I needed a little something in Daffodil Delight. I love this retired Pom Pom trim! And look at that little pumpkin! Doesn't he remind you of something??? Interesting... I must be in tune with SU!!
I created the moon using one of the stamps from Circle Circus. I darkened it more on the top to make it look more round.

Stamps: Out on a Limb, Tiny Tags
Ink and Paper: Concord Crush (DSP Stack), Daffodil Delight, Tangarine Tango, Whisper White, Staz On Black
Other: Big Shot, 3" Circle Die, Tangerine Tango Dotted Ribbon, Daffodil Delight Pom Pom Trim, Tiny Tag Punch, Stick Pin, Stampin Dimensionals

Margarita Thanks!

The best part about our new house has to be our new neighbors! My girls have made some great friends, the dog has made some great doggie friends and hubby and I have made some wonderful friends! We spent Friday and Saturday night sitting in the middle of the cul de sac with our neighbors. It was so much fun!

On neighbor happens to make an amazing Margarita and made quite a few this weekend. I wanted to replace his empty bottle of tequila, but of course I can't send it over with out a cute tag!

So, this tag was inspired by three challenges: CR84FN

I just LOVE the new Big Shot Die called Petite Pocket. It's perfect for a little note, as well as a gift card!
Stamp Sets: Perfect Words and Ain't Love Grand (Both hostess), Circle Circus
Ink and Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Pool Party, Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Other: 1 1/4" and 1 3/4" Circle Punches, Round Tab Punch (two layered behind the large white circle), Corner Rounder Punch, Pool Part Ruffle Ribbon, In Color Polka Dot Brad, Basic Rhinestones

Halloween is creepin' in on me!

Boo! Ya ready? yea, I love Halloween. I know, I shouldn't but I do!! pumpkins, costumes and candy? Uhm- yes please!

All my new Halloween sets are yelling at me to get them dirty!!

Today's project is inspired by the sketch at Inkspiration...

and the theme challenge at A La Card Monkey .

I ended up using all my new stuff. the stamp is from a new stamp set called
It's a little Candy pocket. You pull the ribbon up and...

you've got yourself some candy! Great for teachers, neighbors, or yourself if your feeling like you need some chocolate! ;-)
Mr. Bones was stamped in Staz On Black. I kept stamping him in regular ink and then I would smear him. So, Staz on it is. It dries super quick. I spritzed him with my Basic Black and Crumb cake markers. Little spider comes from the cardstock sticker pack and has a black glimmer brad in the middle!

Thanks for looking!

HSS- Banner Bash!

If you know me, you know I LOVE Banners! A lot! So, this week's challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is all me! These Banners are crazy popular right now in the craft world.

For this week's card, I tried out a new technique I learned, but now can't find the blog to credit it!  Anyhow, it involves inking your striped embossing folder and running your paper through the Big Shot and then turning it 90 degrees and doing it again. It creates a fabulous gingham look!

Stamps: Out on a Limb, Pennant Parade
Ink and Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White
Other: Pennant Punch, Decorative Label Punch, White Twine, Basic Rhinestones, big Shot, Striped Embossing Folder

We would love for you to join us this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments. I know you either love using pennants and banners or have been dying to give it a try! So, now is your chance! Make sure you come back and link up with us!

Blue Leaves!

Are you missing my Scrapbook Saturday posts? Yea.. me too...  For all you scrapbook fans, I will get back there, I promise. Eventually...
But, in the mean time, I have a card for you today!
I love, love, love these big chunky buttons that are coming out in the new Holiday Mini! They are BIG!

I did a little two step stampin' with another new set (available Sept. 1) called Gently Falling.  I stamped the bottom layer in pool Party and the top in Not Quite Navy. The pretty paper is from a new set called Spice cake. What? You don't have blue leaves where you live?? Huh. ;-) Sentiment is from Pursuit of Happiness.

Colors are brought to you by the Color Lab and sketch is from Sweet Sunday Sketch!

Have a great weekend!

I'm a horrible friend...

One of my very BFFs has a birthday in August. She is a teacher too and always talks about how her birthday gets passed over every year because she and everyone else is so busy. Well, guess who passed her over this year... ME! And, whats worse? I was at her house for THREE HOURS on her birthday doing the Jr High project and never said a word. I am a big, fat JERK!!! I was so upset when I realized it the next day. So, off to make her a special card and a boat load of pink cake pops....

I used Paper Players Challenge color combo and Stampin 411 sketch for her card.

 Stamps: Easy Events
Ink and Paper: Delicate Doilies DSP, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Melon mambo, Regal Rose, Whisper White
Other: Scalloped Dots Ribbon, Seam Binding, Satin Ribbon, Big Shot, Tasteful trims Die, Large oval punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Blender Pen, Word Window Punch
And because I felt so bad, I had to do some special stuff inside too! Hope she forgives me....

Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of you...

Today's card was inspired by Shellie Gardner's August Challenge. A "thinking of you" is probably the most important card you can send out. Those people who may be down or having a hard time would be so touched by the fact that you have thought and prayed for them. I really need to keep more of these kinds of cards around!

I also used the colors from Diva Coffee Break Designs and the sketch from CAS.
I embossed this sweet fall tree (NEW STAMP IN THE HOLIDAY MINI!) iN something unusual- Basic Grey and Silver Embossing Powder. I was trying to go for the silhouette look. After the embossing, I sprayed the watercolor paper with water and then dripped the Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight reinkers on it. I love this technique. It made the back ground look kind of like a sunset, I think!

I used a new stamp set that is quickly becoming a favorite! It is called Petite Pairs. The sentiments go together and I think they are intended to be used inside and outside of a card. I used them both on the front with a few little trinket embellishments and a piece of Basic Grey Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

I ripped the Striped Grosgrain ribbon down the middle, creating this ragged look. I adore this ribbon and sometimes it's just too thick for a card. So, cutting it down the middle is a great solution! The DSP I used is a new upcoming set available Sept. 1 in the Holiday Mini. It's actually Halloween Paper called Pick Your Poison. Love. It! Lastly, I added a trinket key. So sweet!

Thanks so much for visiting today!
