A Hybrid Mother's Day (HSS 113)

Mother's Day is right around the corner! I always run late with Mother's day for some reason! Well, thankfully, Hand Stamped Sentiments has pushed me to act early this year! At least with the card!

So, if your a loyal follower, you've heard me talk many times about my Mom, The Artist. She and I are very close even though she loves 13 hours away. Thank God for technology! She is the BEST! (Love you Mom. Thanks for everything...)

So, when I decided to make her card, I really thought about her and what she likes. She loves blue and yellow and her china has been a blue and white pattern since she got married! This is her china:

So, I decided to replicate her china and pretty much the theme of her house in this card.
First, I stamped a random pattern ( Fruit and Flowers) in Night of Navy. Then, I looked for a good mom stamp. Didn't have one. So, I went to My Digital Studio and downloaded a new stamp brush set called Mom, Your the Bomb. I chose the image and chose the same color, Night of Navy. I printed it right out of my printer on Whisper White paper! It looks like a stamp doesn't it? Sweet!

I framed it with Night of Navy and used the Eyelet Border Punch as well. I added some striped Grosgrain Ribbon and a heart charm. Done. Easy yet beautiful! So, it's my first Hybrid! What do you think?

So what inspires you for your Mom? Let us know. Come back to Hand Stamped Sentiments and show us what you create!

Oh, and we have FOUR new designers this week. Make sure you stop by and give them some LOVE!
