Watercoloring Tutorial

I spent last week in Memphis at my parent's house. I took along my flip camera to film my mom giving a tutorial on how to watercolor with a blender pen. As you may remember, I used to refuse to stamp anything that needed to be colored in. It always resembled a Kindergartners art work when I was finished! So, a couple of years back, I asked my mother, The Artist, for some help. She was so excited since I have refused any and all art training since I was a child! LOL! Sorry mom! ;-)

So, of course we waited till the very last day to do it, my camera was dead and it was very late. So, I just used my ipad. It's not the best, I didn't hold the camera all that steady, but hopefully you can still learn something from it. My mom is not a SU Demo, but she does stamp a little with me. She is an art teacher at a prestigious private high school. She also has been a working artist at times as well. And, in my opinion, she's amazing! So, here is our little tag team video, hope you enjoy it!

Now, I used my mom's art to make a little card! I also used a few Sneak Peek items from the NEW Seasonal Catalog out next month! See if you can spot them!

Stamps: Greeting Card Kids
Ink and Paper: Watercolor Paper, Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Festival of Prints Designer Series Stack, Pacific Point, Real Red, Regal Rose, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise
Other: Select Designer Fabric, Big Shot, Adorning Accents Edgelts, Stampin' Sprtizer, Blender Pens, Brushed Bronze Designer Buttons
Inspiration for my card came from Just Add Ink's Winter theme and Fresh Made Sketches
