What. A. Day!!!! (Convention Day 1)

**For updates during the day, like Pink Buckaroo on Facebook. I will be updating all day long there!**

Today was the first day of Convention and it was AMAZING! It is actually the prestuff, check in, Momemento mall. I expected it to be a slow day and we'd kind of just kick around.. Whoa was I wrong! We left the house this morning at 7:30 and did not get back till after 11!!!
This year's theme is "I Am..." I LOVE the black and white chalkboard look. Adorable! It must be the teacher in me... LOL!
We did our Make and Takes, well, some of them..
I sat and visited with my roomies, Erin Gonzales, Shannon Eberhardt, and we met up with Christie Daughtrey and her downline Susan. It was fun! We didn't get much stampin' done. Correctly, that is!
We headed out to the Home Office and took the traditional rock picture...

 And a few nontraditional.....

Memento Mall was awesome as always. These are three of the reusable shopping bags. Love, love, love!
This evening, we took an extra class. This is the one I took, called I am a Pattern Mixing Pro. Local friends, this will be an upcoming class! It was wonderful!

And, so, something REALLY BIG happened this morning....

When I checked in at the Awards booth, I eared a couple of awards and then THIS! They let the Artisan Design Finalist know who won. And...I'm one!
Craziness then ensued. Erin drew this on the chalk board for me. Cute! See that cute flower on my Lanyard? It's my Artisan Badge!
I also ran into Cyndi Beach who also had an Artisan Badge!! Not sure who else! We will find out tomorrow at Awards Night who the 10 Design Team Members are. Amazing. Seriously. I was walking on cloud 9 all day. I went to lunch and expected the sandwich guy to be like "OMG! Your an Artisan??" Instead he rolled his eyes at my request for no bread on my chicken salad sandwich! LOL! So, anyway, in my small world, it is AMAZING and pretty much one of the biggest accomplishment I've ever had.
I have a special display board. I will give you lots and lots of detailed pictures in the weeks to come! Don't worry!
And, my 3D stuff. The dress form and another altered book (not the pretty things above my Vanna White arms.)

So, there you have it! Day 1 is over and Day 2 will be even more amazing! Thanks for stopping by! I have some cards to show you, but they may have to wait... I'm EXHAUSTED!!!
