Artisan Design Team Blog Hop Day 4

Welcome back to the 2012 Stampin Up Artisan Design Team Blog hop! I hope you enjoyed Cyndi's cute project!

Today, I am sharing one of my 3Ds. I decided early on to make another Altered Book. Last year's Altered Book was pretty much my favorite project of all time. This year's was different, but still pretty cute. I decided to focus on the Texas Bluebonnets and all the pictures of the last 9 years we've take sitting in them!

I created a 3D pop art Bluebonnet on the inside cover. My favorite part of this book for sure!

The first page was of my oldest daughter. I had fold out pages so that I could show more pictures.

Second was my middle daughter. I had lift up flaps to showcase all of her photos.

This is called a niche and is carved in the block of pages that have been glued together. I traced the Label Framelit and then with a blade, carved it all out.
Tag made in MDS.
Last, my youngest. To do her pictures, I created a pocket and each one had ribbon where you could pull them out.
This is another niche that I placed a vellum stamped image inside.
The last page shows a picture of all three! I hope you enjoyed today's project. Altered books are so fun and a real labor of love!

Next up is another beautiful project by Heather Summers!
