Night in Bethlehem Ornament

My team, The Sweet Stampede, had out Christmas party on Monday night. We had an ornament exchange as well and we all made handmade ornaments. I decided to use the Night in Bethlehem bundle to make mine.

First, let me show you the box. I made the box to fit the ornament with Kraft paper. i added my beloved black and white check DSP and the black and white striped ribbon.

My ornament starte out as one of the paper ache round boxes you can buy at a craft store. I covered the outside and the inside with the Merry Music DSP.

I made the inside also with Kraft paper and layered several of the town diecuts. I added a Gold Foil star to the back ground along with some sequins. I tried to center the DSP so the words matched the scene.

I finished off the edge with scallop circle edge. This was a fun project! Make sure you check out the Night in Bethlehem bundle- it's retiring!!

  2. That is a beautiful ornament! Will you be doing a tutorial on it? My little nursing home ladies would love it and it is perfect to "decorate" the small space they have in their rooms. I might could "figure it out" if I knew the beginning size of the paper mache box. Regardless, it is a wonderful creation!
