Facebook Friday: Garden Goodness

Hello everybody!  It's time for another Facebook Friday!
Today, I'll be showing you three brand new projects featuring the Garden Goodness stamp set.

In case you've never joined me for facebook Live, I go live every week, (typically on Friday at 2:00 CST) on my Pink Buckaroo Stampers Group page with three projects. Everyone is welcome to join! For the summer months, please remember I am working a scaled back schedule to spend more time with my family, so I will only be Live once a week.

If you are unable to join me live, I will upload the recording here afterwards.

First we're starting with a simple card. Can you guess how I made the polka dots on the background? The avocado pit stamp!! This car also features the beautiful Pressed Petals DSP and the Well Written Dies.

Clean Recording will be uploaded here tonight.

Next up, we're making an Avocado Face Mask gift holder. There are so many Avocado products out there and this one is my favorite! It was found at CVS.

And last, a vegetable garden medley on a gift box that holds Harvest Snaps. You can find these which I bought on Boxed here, but Amazon has a nice alternative as well.  The secret to getting that watercolor look is to use a Spritzer!

And, if you didn't check out my post on Thursday, I showed another Avocado Treat box. You can check it out here.

They have all the products I used and measurements for each project.

***Remember, if you put in an order ($30 minimum) by
Monday July 1st, 2019 at midnight,
I'll send you all three make and takes for free!
But, your order MUST be in by Monday at midnight!!
You must use Hostess Code  C2NJ4TJM.

Prize Patrol!
Congratulations to the winners from last week's prizes Debbie Hughes:

This week, I'm giving away a Well Written Bundle!! All you have to do is share the video on Facebook!

I will be gone for the next two Facebook Fridays- Greek Isles Cruise incentive trip form Stampin' Up!! But, I actually have projects planned and filmed for both weeks! So, make sure you come back and check it out! I won't be live, but I do promise it will be FUN!

See you in a few weeks!

Garden Goodness Avocado Scrub Gift Box

Hey everybody! I am so excited about this week's product of the week: Garden Goodness! It jumped out at me right away when I saw it in the catalog. I've been creating things in my head for weeks and this week I finally got to make them come to life!

My first project is a gift box that holds an Avocado and Honey Face Scrub. I found mine at Target, but here it is on Amazon in case you can't find it locally.

The box is tall, as the scrub is a full size product. You'll actually need two sheets of Soft Sea Foam to create this box.

And the tag is simple- a Whisper White Stitched Rectangle and a Soft Suede Be Mine Stitched heart as the avocado pit!

And I just love how the Petal Pink ribbon looks with the colors of the box.

Here is the video showing you exactly how to make it:

Measurements:
8" X 11" Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
score the short side at 3" and 5"
score the long side at 2" and 9"
4" X 11" Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
score the short side at 1" and 3"
score the long side at 2' and 9"
3 5/8" X 2 1/4" Whisper White Stitched Rectangle

Magnolia Lane Scrapbook Page (Stamp Club To Go)

Hello everyone! Today, I want to share this month's Stamp Club To Go scrapbook page and alternate card. I used the uber gorgeous Magnolia Lane suite of products to create these projects.

The scrapbook page uses the Designer Series Paper, the stamps, the ribbon and the cork embellishments. It has space for three photos, but this can always be changed.

For those who aren't scrapbookers, I always create an alternate card for them using the same products. Here, you can see I changed the sentiment a bit as well.

And here they are together!

As I mentioned, these projects were for my Stamp Club To Go program. It's a 6 month program where I send you three complete projects each month (like the one above) and in turn you place an order each month.
One month, you receive Stampin' Rewards!

If you are interested in Stamp Club to Go, you can find the details here
You can see the past projects by scrolling through all theses posts.

First we're making a 3D truck. This is the project the die is designed to make. I'm going to show you how to assemble it and give you a few tips on how to get it right!

Next up, I'm going to stamp the truck and color it with Stampin' Blends. I'm also going to show you how to emboss the hubcaps, bumper and handle in Silver Embossing Powder!

And last, I couldn't resist using the pumpkins! I know it's just June, but I LOVE PUMPKINS!!! And how cute is that sentiment!?! This time, we won't be coloring the truck, but stamping it on Daffodil Delight Cardstock and adding some shading with Stampin' Blends.

And, if you didn't check out my post yesterday, I showed three different ways to color the truck. You can check it out here.

They have all the products I used and measurements for each project.

Ride With Me- Different Coloring Options

Hello everybody! Today, I'm going to show you a few options for coloring the precious truck stamp that's in the Ride With Me Bundle, which is my product of the week!

You have several choices when it comes to coloring options for stamped images. I chose to color the truck three ways, all using Real Red, Basic Black and Smoky Slate as the main colors. You can see the comparison in the photo above, showing the Stampin' Blends, Watercolor Pencils and an Aqua Painter and our Classic Ink. They each have a very different look and each are different levels of difficulty. It really comes down to your preference. Which way to you prefer to color?

First up, you can see the truck painted with our Classic Ink and an Aqua Painter. When you use this option, you need to use Staz On Black ink to stamp your truck so that it doesn't bleed. Staz On is an Alcohol based ink and therefore your best option with adding water. You do need to be careful when using Photopolymer stamps and Staz On. Make sure to clean your stamp immediately and follow up with our new Stamp Cleaning Pad. If you leave the Staz On ink on your stamp, it will stain and also, in my opinion, alter the texture of your stamp. So, clean immediately!

Also, when watercoloring like this, you need to use Watercolor Paper or Shimmer White Cardstock. I love to color images like this. You can squeeze your ink pad to get ink on the lid and then use the lid as a paint pallet. This does take some practice as controlling the water is very important! It can get out of control quickly if you use too much. I also love how layers of ink can be used to create bright, vivid images.

Next up, I used Stampin' Up's Watercolor Pencils and an Aqua Painter. Again, because we are using water, you need to stamp your truck in Staz On Black

Watercolor Pencils are easier to use than classic ink because you have much better control. First, you color the image with the pencil, then you go back and paint it with water to get a smoother look. You can continue to add color as you go. The drawback here for me is that the color isn't quite as vivid.

Lastly, I used our wonderful Stampin' Blends. This is my preferred method of coloring these days because it's so easy! And the ink blends together so smoothly and gives you a lovely finished project. When you use Stampin' Blends, you need to stamp the truck in Memento Black ink. The markers are alcohol based so you need to start with a water based ink. This ink won't stain your stamps and can be washed easily on a Simply Shammy.

So now, let's take a look at them in their final forms- fun greeting cards!

Stampin' Blends

 Watercolor Pencils

Classic Ink

I also used the Artisan Textures stamp set to create the mud splatters.

I hope you'll join me tomorrow, Friday June 21st for Facebook Friday! I'll show you three more Ride With Me projects including another way to "color" your image!
Make sure you have joined my Facebook Group so you can watch! Everyone is welcome! See you then!
